Spring Bands Concert - May 6th
The Spring Bands Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00 pm. The Freshman Band, Varsity Band, and Concert Band will perform at this final concert of the year. Ticket prices for this concert are $5 for adults and $3 for students. The concert will begin with the Concert Bands in the WHS Auditorium and will continue in the Commons with the Jazz Bands. Music awards for the year will also be distributed at this time. We hope that you will join us for a great evening of music.

Showcase Concert Coming - April 29th
The Symphonic Band will perform as a part of the WHS Showcase Concert at the Washington Pavilion on Tuesday, April 29th at 7:00 pm. Tickets for this concert are $10 for adults and $8 for students and may be purchased from any band member. It is vital to support this particular concert so that we may continue to offer our students the wonderful opportunity of performing in a world-class concert hall. The Showcase Concert will also feature performances by the WHS Concert Choir and Symphony Orchestra. We look forward to having you as a part of the audience in support of this special performance.

Sioux Falls Public Schools Band Festival - April 17th
The Symphonic Band will perform as part of the Sioux Falls Public Schools Band Festival on April 17, 2008 in the Washington Pavilion. Composer Larry McTaggert has been commissioned to write a new piece of band music, "Echoes of Valor", which will be under the direction of the composer at this performance. The combined Symphonic Bands of Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt will perform two other works by Mr. McTaggert, as well as performing one work individually. A Middle School Honor Band has also been put together to perform some of Mr. McTaggert's works with him on this concert, as well. Tickets for the event are $5 and we hope that you will join us for a truly unique opportunity that is sure to be a wonderful evening celebrating the talents of the student musicians in our schools.
